Lin Hong and his management team restarted under Micropolis in 1986 and grew the Singapore operations to achieve a revenue run rate of US$400 million at the time of his departure in 1990. Lin Hong started work in 1970 in the Singapore Economic Development Board, heading the electronics group, where he spent eleven years promoting the development of the electronics industry in Singapore, which is now the largest industrial sector in the economy. Lin Hong has a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and a diploma in business administration. He has served on the boards of listed companies (in USA and Singapore), boards of private companies, boards of governors of educational institutes and various government committees. He was awarded a Singapore Public Service Medal in 1992. |
